Scherzade qualified as a Solicitor of England and Wales in June 2012 having carried out the majority of her training in litigation. Before turning to law, Scherzade studied French and Italian at University College London. Scherzade moved to Hong Kong in May 2012 and qualified as Solicitor of the High Court of Hong Kong in 2016. Her practice is in all aspects of Private Client work for both Hong Kong and the UK, and can work with foreign lawyers using her extensive network for matters in other jurisdictions. This encompasses applications for Grants of Probate, complex cross-border applications for Letters of Administration, applications for Resealing of Grants of Probate, Estate Administration and drafting complex wills, often for high net worth individuals.
Scherzade is responsible for OLN’s pro bono campaign, “FreeWill”, a charitable programme to raise awareness of estate planning issues within the Hong Kong local community and to fundraise for OLN’s chosen charity, Child Welfare Scheme. FreeWill has raised over HK$120,000 to date.
Scherzade won a Law Society of Hong Kong Gold Award for services to the community in 2013 and together with Alfred won Acquisition International’s China Estate Planning Practice firm of 2013.
Scherzade was a contributor to the Lexis Nexis Encyclopedia of Forms and Precedents for Probate Practice in Hong Kong, 2013 edition.
Scherzade sits on the Board of Directors of the Globalaw network.In 2015, she spearheaded a brand new business initiative: the High Net Worth Initiative of Globalaw which she co-Chairs.
Scherzade is also a Member of the Hong Kong BNI Ambition Chapter, Chairwoman of the firm’s women’s network,W@OLN , a Member of the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Hong Kong and a Committee Member of Women In Law Hong Kong (WILHK).
