Stephen was born in the U.K. and attended
the University of Birmingham. He was trained as a Solicitor
with Messrs. Eversheds and Tomkinson, Birmingham, a large
commercial law firm.
Stephen qualified in England in November 1990 with Messrs.
Sheridans, London where he initially specialized in commercial
work, in particular music business and entertainment. Subsequently
Stephen joined Manches & Co. in London where he gained
extensive experience in Family Law and international financial
cases and Hague Convention and child custody cases. Stephen
was admitted in Hong Kong in May 1995.
Stephen heads the firm’s Family Law Practice Group.
He is an Executive Committee member and past Vice-Chairman
of the Hongkong Family Law Association (“FLA”)
and was responsible for the “Code of Conduct”
which the FLA introduced.
Stephen is an International Bar Association member and continues
to be a member of the FLA and the Solicitors Family Law Association,
U.K.
Stephen has published a number of articles on Family Law and
was previously an Advisory Board Member to Butterworths in
their continuing education courses. |
